Block test (history)
Hi everyone,
For history, just a reminder for what will be tested.
For Southeast Asian history, this is the rough format.
We will have Qn 1 on SBQ, which will be on the formation of ASEAN.
Q2 and Q3 will be on Nationalism, we will be tested on colonial responses, origins, achievements and limitations of nationalist movments. We are supposed to choose only one out of the two questions
Q4 and 5 will be on the Japanese Occupation, whether is it considered a watershed event and its impact on nationalist movments and eventually the process of decolonization. Again, we will do either Q4 or 5
Q 6 and 7 will be on decolonisation, processes, role of US and actors and factors involved. We just need to do either Q6 or 7
For international history, just a rough guess...
We will be tested on origins, globalisation and end of Cold War, along with all of this year's work(global economy), up till where Mr Quek went through in the lecture notes and up till the essay questions that he went through with us in tutorial on G7 and transnational corporations..
From what i heard, is 1 qn on SBQ based on the ppt presentations during lecture, which is like (General Assembly and Security Council). Maybe on Rwanda or Somalia or some other conflict...dunnoe also.
For essays, i think(not sure) is choose 3 out of 5 qns for the essays.
Good luck for your block tests!:) International history test is this friday.
